Wake up early by 05 AM, get refreshed, and have your hot breakfast at the hotel. Check out and try to leave the hotel by 07:00 AM if you want to cover the en-route sightseeing. The journey is very long for today but having scenic views and serene sightseeings, but sightseeing will only be possible if you start early. After leaving from Mussoorie, the first stop will be at Eco Park at Dhanolti, allowing you 30 mins for exploration. Post exploration the way accends to Surkanda Devi temple which requires 2.5 km trekking, but you get only 30 mins to explore it and that will only be possible if you take a both-side ropeway ride, consider it compulsory if you want to explore Surkanda Devi Temple, trekking won't be possible.
Next we stop for lunch at New Tehri, choose a good restaurant with amazing Tehri Lake views. Lunch and some photography shouldn't take more than 30-45 mins, and the next serene stop will be the Rudraprayag Sangam. Witness the divine confluence of Mandakini and Alaknanda. Mandakini coming from Kedarnath is dissolving into Alakanda river at Rudraprayag Sangam and remains Alaknanda. Allowing 15 mins for exploration and photography and then straight to Ukhimath via witnessing Agastmuni from the windows. Lunch can be planned in a good restaurant with the great views of Alaknanda river, after passing the Rudraprayag. Next you stop at Ukhimath for the Omkareshwar temple which is the winter abode of Shri Kedarnath. Once Kedarnath is closed for winters, you get the darshan of Shri Kedarnath Ji here for the whole winters. Allowing you 20 mins for temple exploration and then proceeds straight to Chopta. The evening arrives at Chopta, get check in to the camps, and free for your leisure. Having dinner and overnight stay at Chopta Camps.
